A liitle description of the skill Battle Tactics. It gives some bonus damage when you crits(0.2% per your total int at level 1 and 0.4% at level 2). E.g if you have 50int. Instead of dealing 200% critical damage, you will do 200%*(1+ 0.4%* 50) = 240% damage.
I will try my best to make my point simple to understand.
Lets make a knight with 20% critical chance and 1000 damage per attack.
1. This knight do not have battle tactics.
He did 5 attacks and one of them crits. The damage is 1000,1000,1000,1000,2000! 6000 in total.
2. This knight add battle tactics, but focus on str and agi or vit. So he has only 20int (by title and gear and cards)
So the critical damage would be 2000* (1+ 0.4% *20)= 2160
He did 5 attacks and one of them crits. The damage is 1000,1000,1000,1000,2160! 6160 in total. The increase is 160/6000 which is around 2.7%
So he spends 3skill points(1 for Magnum Break) and 2.7% damage increase is the reward.
3. This time the knight gives up add vit (he gives up 40vit which is 40*6=240 max hp)and put the stat points to int. He has 60int now.
The critical damage would be 2000* (1 + 0.4% * 60)= 2480
He did 5 attacks and one of them crits. The damage is 1000,1000,1000,1000,2480! 6480 in total. The increase is 480/6000 which is 8%.
4. The last time, the knight even changes his card gear. Instead of using the "str only card", he changes to "high str and int card". So he gives up a little str, but the int rises to 100. (i find someone has 110 int in the forum but lets dont do that crazy).
By losing a little str, his normal attack drops to 980, and the critical damage is 1960 * (1+ 0.4% * 100) = 2744
He did 5 attacks and one of them crits. The damage is 980,980,980,980,2744!! 6664 in total. The increase is 664/6000 which is 11%.
Thats it. The crit rate 20% may be questionable and the drop from 1000 to 980 may be too small. But the significent increase of damage can be seen.
So my point is if you are a pure tank. Do not add Battle Tactics like the case 2 does. If you want increase your dps, int will do lots lots lots of things rather than the 240 max hp.
