Ragnarok Online 2 Swordsman Basic Guide

This is a basic guide to Swordsmen to try and give people a better idea of what they will be getting into.

The first thing you should decide on when making any character is which second job you will be making. For swordsman the options are Warrior or Knight. Also, the generic question of what your focus is going to be: PVP, PVE, or Raiding. Each has its own specific tweak to optimize the build.

If you want more DPS, Warrior seems the better choice. As for tankthere is much debate on which is better at tanking. Well, when considering which one makes a better tank, this is what you should think about Shield OR Defender Skill.

1. Introduction

Hello everyone. I decided to make this guide to help out new players, as well as players who are familiar with the warrior class, but interested in taking it to the next level. This guide covesr pretty much everything involving the warrior class.

This guide is based off of personal experience, with a minimal amount of theorycrafting, so rest assured that most of the concepts here are tried and true!

2. Cheat Sheet

This is a section for the tl;dr people, or the ones who just want a quick reference for a build. No worries, I won’t hold it against you if this is the only section you’re interested in. ;D

Why a Warrior?:

• Best at Off Tanking (With the potential to be the best at main tanking)
• Well Rounded
• Giant Sword (Duh)

Why not a Warrior?:

• Takes a lot of work to become a viable main tank, compared to other tanks, due to being fairly fragile early on.
• Will never be as strong as the other DPS classes
• Not very high in demand when it comes to parties

Ragnarok Online 2 Ultimate Skill Damage

Good day to all asgardians, 

recently my max damage of the following with Einherjar set with bapho weapons N 

Shield Cannon lvl 5 critical 1.5k per hit 

Rage Strike lvl 5 + Berserk = 7k critical 

has anyone gone up? or is it really worth maxing this skills 
some say that lvl 3 for this skills are in adequate damage 

is Rage Strike & Shield Cannon can par with Rouges Dance of Moonlight 110%????

Ragnarok Online 2 Hybrid Knight with battle tactics build

Even though shield charge lv 5 is good with 20 sec cooldown, but it's not worth it i say. It's just for 3 second stun duration and some knights complaint that in certain occasion, shield charge can make your char freeze with running delay for 3-4 seconds. (Happens to me in colo, whereby i used shield charge and ends up having FULL ANIMATION DELAY that i can't even do anything for 2 minutes!) So it isn't worth to max shield charge.

You should also maximize aura mastery to lv 3. 15% chance for you to unleash fully charge aura strike/shield cannon is very good.

If you really want hybrid, i recommend you to take Concentration lv 5 whereby you can increase your physical atk by 20% and it wouldn't be hurt even if you take extra 10% dmg since you have HIGH value of defense and 5% reduction dmg from your aura armor.

Therefore, my recommendation for your hybrid knight is to drop your shield charge to lv 1 and aura shield to lv 2, then Get concentration lv 5. Aura shield IMO it doesn't do much for 10 seconds. lv 2 aura shield with 8% dmg reduction is still okay.

wondering what's the best build for Warrior.

The reason I made this calculation is because there are many knights or worriers using their stats points like 40str/40vit/8agi or 41str/41vit and I want to show them why vit is the 2nd worst stat in the game. (why its not 1st, hmm, the WIS should be).

A liitle description of the skill Battle Tactics. It gives some bonus damage when you crits(0.2% per your total int at level 1 and 0.4% at level 2). E.g if you have 50int. Instead of dealing 200% critical damage, you will do 200%*(1+ 0.4%* 50) = 240% damage.

I will try my best to make my point simple to understand.

Lets make a knight with 20% critical chance and 1000 damage per attack.
