Ragnarok Online 2 Ranger PvP Guide

I’m making this as a dedicated guide to win PvP vs other classes as a Ranger.

My build
Notice I maxed WW, Falcon, and Poison Arrow and leave True Sight, Vulcan and Fear Breeze at 1 each.

Why? The extra 10% damage from mastering Falcon Assault (level 5) will outweigh the benefits from Vulcan Arrow and other skills (10%x 15 attacks x 2 falcons = 300% attack in 30 seconds). In comparison a level 5 Vulcan will give 93% attack which is only 29% more attack than a level 1 Vulcan. Falcon will out DPS the Vulcan most of the time (except the occasion where you luckily trigger Main Ranger consecutively, allowing more than usual Vulcans). Also, Vulcans will almost never be used on PvP as the target will either die (which should happen most of the time) or you die (lag or other reasons).

Why play a Ranger??

Ranger have the best kiting mechanism in this game and yes I mean the best. Rangers skill are mainly all instant cast except for CS and they got one of the best DoT in game. Depending on how much you are willing to spend on your ranger, you can become a top tier ranger and medium tier ranger, its impossible to become a low tier ranger, cause our skill itself is already OP. Ohh and one more thing, I found that Rangers are unbeatable in PvP unless fighting other rangers =D.

Rangers Skill

Well I have been reading to the forum and find that some rangers are still confuse in how AV and FA works, whether Poison Arrow Should be Max and how camo is a must to take. I will post and guide some of the build that I have tried out personally and how it works for me.

Yes truth be told I have tried out 7 build for rangers and in the end comes up with my own. For those of you that are wondering how I managed to get 7 tries in reseting, yes I bought skill reset scroll. Well in summary for rangers this are some things that I come up with and the 3 builds that I found the best for each class.

This build is definitely not a build dedicated solely for PvP as its main purpose is to do the most DPS possible. If you are going for a full PvP build, skills that are normally not so useful to level up in Dungeons/Raids such as Arrow Impact (movement speed slow doesn't affect bosses), Ankle Snare (doesn't affect bosses, leveling up only reduce cooldown), and Acrobatic (leveling up only reduce cooldown) can prove to be useful when fighting melee classes.

Ragnarok Online 2 Beastmaster w/c is more viable? Off tank or pure dps?

Need insights on this. im planning to make a beastmaster but I dunno which build to choose since there alot of class that can be off tank to.
I dont wanna be left out in the party. so im asking which is better to make? a pure dps or an off tank in terms of dungeons and raids?

ohh and can you save skill points? cause i read that when you class change into BM 1st class skills are void

Skill Explanation:
Cruel Bite lv 1: I think this is enough for lifesteal? 1% per lv is not ok for me. i would rather spend the remaining 4 SP instead
Rage Smash lv 2: my bread and butter skill. i didn't maxed this rather than fury strike bcoz when you use frenzy it isnt hard enough to gain BP. comments on this.
Fury Strike lv lv5: A follow up skill for Brutal strike. w/ max frenzy you'll be spamming this like hell!
Bear Forms lv 5: err??

Freny lv 5: 20% per lvl is huge and for 1v1,pvp,boss i think this is very useful since you earn twice BP per hit>spamming more cruel/fury strike.
Wild Crush lv 1: as stated above

AlbertaFirst of all nice stats. Second i have a question, i'm playing as ranger aswell. However i just noticed that everytime i'm level up, my crit and dodge stats somewhat become lower. For example before i lvl up i have 18% crit rate and 9.13% dodge rate, after i lvl up it become 17.60% crit and 8.70% dodge rate. And this always happened every time i'm lvl up. Is this normal and everyone else experienced this aswell? or its just me?

Hi, I've been roaming around the forums for awhile and like to share some of my personal gameplay experiences with everybody.
I'd like to begin by saying that I am in no way a hardcore RO2 gamer nor have i cleared more than half of end game contents.
My 'knowledge'( for the lack of a better word ) comes from being a seasoned WoW player and i've found the mechanics for Ranger/Hunter to be somewhat similar.

Cut to the chase, i believe this should be the one of the better PVE dps rotations for any rangers that have gotten some points into AV/DS.
The rationale behind this rotation is to a)minimize the downtime caused by GCD (Global Cooldown), b)keeping 5x fear breeze up the entire fight c) casting as many AVs as possible without losing FB for too long. Remember that in DPS, every second counts.

I go by the ign Frisks, I am what people considered as nuts/hardcore players whom have pushed myself to the limit of testing the system and the game during CBT and achieved level 50. (No prize for us who achieved 50 though.. sadly)
